Project Activities

Students, teachers, youth workers and others involved in the project work together to;

  1. Collect historical photographs and other images of their local area.
  2. Develop cooperative partnerships with members of the local community and institutions such as local libraries, museums and record offices.
  3. Convert the historic photographs into digital images.
  4. Gather the recollections of the places featured in the photographs from members of the local community.
  5. Carry out field research to identify the locations featured in the historic photographs and capture new photographs of the same locations.
  6. Working with the graphic software, to process the photograph pairs and to create a description for them .
  7. Prepare the press versions of the project for the book and the presentation
  8. Create a web-based teaching presentation of the school project
  9. Organise the opening day of the exhibition and the exhibition tour schedule.
  10. Host a public guided walk illustrating the areas of local interest featured in the final exhibition materials.
